Information on COVID-19
Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) has announced a change in its masking guidelines in response to the recent increase in respiratory illnesses. The decision aims to enhance the safety and well-being of both patients and healthcare workers.
With the rise in respiratory illnesses in our community, HGMH is taking proactive measures to ensure the highest level of protection and care for all patients and staff. Effective immediately, masks are required to be worn upon entry, in all areas of the hospital, and are available at all entrances. This applies to staff, physicians, volunteers, patients and their families and visitors.
HGMH continues to closely monitor the situation and collaborate with local health authorities to adapt our protocols as necessary. We appreciate the collaboration and cooperation of the community.
Visitor access levels will change to reflect current appropriate restrictions. If you are feeling unwell, please refrain from coming to the hospital to visit. Seniors, pregnant women, or those who are immunocompromised should speak with their doctor before visiting a patient at HGMH. Please refer to our Visiting Hours page for more information.
