Alexandria, ON – On Friday, September 10th, 2021, the Board of Directors of Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) announced that Michael Cohen, the President & CEO, has accepted a position at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. His last day at HGMH will be October 29th, 2021.

 

In a notice to all staff, Mr. Frank Wetering, Board Chair, praised Michael adding “Since joining HGMH, Michael has worked to oversee improvements in the care delivered to our patients, attended to urgent infrastructure issues, united the image of our organization in the community and kept the hospital in an excellent financial position. He has been a strong advocate for our hospital regionally and is well respected within our community.”

 

The Board of Directors of HGMH thanks Michael for his service to the hospital and our community and wishes him well in his new role.

 

A search for the new President & CEO will commence this week.
