Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital receives cheque for $94,000 from anonymous donor

On September 13th, 2022, hospital administrators at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital opened an envelope containing an anonymous donation for over $94,000. The anonymous gift was provided through Link Charity Canada Inc. to be used towards the purchase of equipment for patient care.

Robert Alldred-Hughes, President & CEO, said “Gifts of this magnitude go a long way in providing the much-needed support for purchasing equipment our hospital and team needs to care for our patients”. Alldred-Hughes added “This amazing gift will be put towards the purchase of a new ultrasound machine for the hospital. Our current machine is at the end of its life and needs to be replaced to ensure our patients receive accurate and timely diagnostic images. On behalf of the entire organization, I want to publicly thank this anonymous donor, your generosity is sincerely appreciated by everyone at HGMH”.

Donations are a critical source of funding for HGMH. The money the hospital receives from donations is separate and distinct from the operating dollars it receives from the Ministry of Health. The donations the hospital receives provide the ability for the hospital to purchase either new or replacement medical equipment. Through generous donors, HGMH can continue to provide safe, quality care.
