Outpatient clinics and associated health professionals

An outpatient is someone who goes to a hospital or clinic for a procedure which does not require an overnight stay at the hospital. A number of health care professionals are associated with HGMH and provide clinics on-site.‍

Family Practice

Currently, there are six family physicians with private practices in conjunction with Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH), housed within the building itself.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is the term used for the visual inspection of the internal parts of the body by means of an endoscope. Gastroscopies, colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies are done in our clinic. We have a team of endoscopists, and appointments are by physician referral only.‍

Gynecology

Gynecology deals directly with the problems and disorders arising in the biosex female reproductive system. Appointments are by physician referral only.‍

Pain Clinic

The pain clinic will aim to provide consultation service with the use of history and physical exam, laboratory, and imaging towards the assessment and diagnosis of pain conditions with a goal of improving functional impairment as well as your quality of life.

Types of consultation:

Neuraxial pain - chronic neck and back pain, spinal stenosis;
Osteoarthritis pain of small and large joints;
Headache subtypes;
Chronis soft tissue and myofascial pain syndromes; and
Neuropathic pain.

A referral from your physician or healthcare professional is required in order to book an appointment.

Respirology

Respirology refers to the study and treatment of breathing disorders. Appointments are by physician referral only. Diagnostic tests that may be ordered by a physician and done at this clinic include flow rates and pulmonary function testing.‍
